:\ I realized something horrible last night when I went to add a Robert Downey, Jr. Stamp to my stampboard / shoutboard box. DEVIANTART HAD NONE. 8| I've been a fan of his since The Singing Detective and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.. The least I could do was give the poor man the respect / support he deserves. He's off drugs, btw. Just FYI. Ah, behold Plea, ruiner of moments. Use where you will--but only on DeviantArt. -jazz-hands-
I'd say that Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes were what got me started on Robert Downey Jr., but I am at the moment enjoying The Singing Detective, and I appreciated his acting in Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus before I even realized it was him!
I'm totally using this stamp when (and if) I get a sub.
I love RDJr. He's an amazing actor and his interviews just crack me up. And I love that he's actually moving forward with his life after rehab and poking fun at it. I just hope he continues to do well because he seems like a nice guy.
Only You and Restoration were the first two movies I saw him in. I think it's sad that he's remembered more for the tabloid articles about drug rehab than his talent.
Fab stamp, thank you! And yes, why is there such a shortage of R.D.J stamps? I have his album on repeat, amazing artist in every way. Maybe he'll start getting the credit he deserves with the success of Iron Man?
ohhh my god, would you believe I only just found out he sang the other night? I now own "Smile" and "Man Like Me" by him. He has a fantastic singing voice. And I would hope so! I'm pleased to see more RDJ fans out there.
I know, lots of people don't know that. Somehow I thought of him as a musician first, I saw him in a film years ago, years and years, and he was playing the piano and singing. Amazing. I have only just got round to buying his album (shameful) and I have it playing on repeat as I paint, it's beautiful. He wrote the songs too - they're straight from the heart and really moving. Highly recommend it - 'The Futurist'. I hear they're making an Iron Man 2! Looking forward to that!
Wow. D: The first movie I recall seeing Robert in was...The Singing Detective. Probably not even close to the same thing you saw. And that's cool, though--the sound of his voice is absolutely soothing and soulful. I heard about the Futurist--that's where I got "Man Like Me" from. > w < I am quite fond. Me too! And he's set for another upcoming film that looks hysterical--Tropic Thunder.
He's absolutely amazing.....8D

Thanks for making!
I liked him in A Scanner Darkly; the movie was weird but his character was cool : )
